Shoot Report – Peter Saich
Thank you to everyone who helped to set up and put away on what turned out to be a very chilly February morning.
41 members and a good selection of guests turned out to appreciate yet more new combinations of Andy’s targets including a ‘Bullet proof’ Teal (at least mine were!)
Winning A Class with 52, James Horrod is first to be promoted to AA this season – Well done James. Runners up with 51 were Peter Saich, Andy Willett and Rick Warrington.
Gary Evans, flush from his success at winning the Pairs event with Charlie Palmer last month again shot well and scored 45 to tie for first place in B Class, but Matt Oldland escaped from B Class at his first attempt on countback with two straights to Gary’s one.
In C Class, Peter Garland took the Trophy with 43, marginally ahead of James Oakford on 42.
Winter Series results
February was the final round of the Winter Series with the best three results from four to count.
In A Class, Jason Stredwick was leading after the January shoot. His score of 48 in February did not improve his total but he still won with 158 – an average of 52.66. Glen Boxall did not shoot in the final round but had done enough to take joint second spot with Andy Willett, whose 51 improved his total to 157. Well done to all three of you for consistent shooting in the colder months.
Clear winner in B Class, despite not shooting in the final round was Ian Parish with a total of 135. Matt Oldland and Michael Collins both improved to take second and third places with 129 and 127 respectively.
In C Class, the top three all improved with James Oakford winning on 129, while Peter Garland was second on 123 and Jon Watson was third with 122.
