Shoot Report – Peter Saich
The March shoot saw a bright morning with a chilly breeze. Thank you to everyone who helped to set up and especially to the team who stayed to help with clearing up and putting everything away.
Matt Oldland took charge of setting up and course planning this month and the general consensus was ‘great job Matt but bring back Andy!’ Seriously though, it was a great layout with some stands further out than we have been used to which is good for experience and improving your scores long term. As a comparison, last month’s average was 35.92 and todays average was 28.32, including five A class scores of 29, so well done to anyone who maintained their average including John Webb in C Class, who was the only person to improve his average today.
We had our best attendance for some time with 44 members and 6 guest cards handed in, including two new members, welcome Jim and Peter.
The longer targets obviously suited Matt as he won A Class with 40. Peter Saich was second on 39 with Rick Warrington and Chris Clark tied for third on 36.
The B Class result was very close with Rob Beere hitting 34 to take the trophy, just ahead of Gary Evans on 33 and Alex Wells on 32. Rob had travelled up from Devon early on Sunday morning and was still there at the end collecting cartridges for disposal – Thanks Rob and well done!
In C Class, James Oakford won with 34, John Hughes was second on 32 and Charlie Palmer and Ron Turner tied for third on 26.
2025 AGM
We are planning to hold the 2025 AGM at Bisley on Thursday 3 rd April – Please see the invitation emailed to members and come and support us. There will be a buffet provided and a bar will be available.
